The Alliance Française proposes « A la carte » courses: after a placement test, the teacher will prepare with you a tailor-made programme according to the different objectives you are aiming at: conversation, French civilisation, French for business, written expression…
For GENERAL FRENCH, hourly rates for Private tuitions are as follow:
· For one student : $65 / hour
· For two students : $74 / hour
· For three students : $81 / hour
· For four students : $92 / hour
· Private tuition can take place at the Alliance Française, at your office or at your home. If tuition occurs outside the Alliance Française, a travel fee for each session may apply. Travel fees are as follows :
Zone 1: 1 to 5 km away from Alliance Française: $11
Zone 2: 6 to 10 km away from Alliance Française: $16
Zone 3: 11 to 15 km away from Alliance Française: $21
Zone 4: 16 to 20 km away from Alliance Française: $26
Zone 5: 21 to 25 km away from Alliance Française: $31
· Students must pre-purchase the first 6 hours of tuition in advance. The leftover tuitions fees will be charged at the end of each month.
· Advise reception of the following details :
□ name, address, email and phone number
□ level of French
□ objectives for learning French
□ how many hours will be purchased
□ availability (days and times)
□ approximate starting date
Private Tuition Agreement
All private tuition students must sign an agreement prepared by reception before the commencement of their first session. Students receive a copy of this agreement and the teacher keeps the original to use as a log. Students must sign against the date, time, and length of session on this log at each session.
Cancellation policy
If a student wishes to cancel their scheduled lesson, 24 hours notice of cancellation is required. Students will be charged the full amount for a session if they notify the Alliance less than 24 hours in advance.
Membership
Private tuition fees do not include membership to the Alliance. Membership is compulsory for all students. Membership allows students to borrow books and videos from the library, receive discounts on social and cultural activities, and participate in committee elections. Yearly membership currently costs $30.
