Objectives

Part 1: Gender Concepts and Women's Empowerment - Focuses on vocabulary and the ability to share our views on gender issues more broadly (in French, bien sûr !)

Part 2: The 'F' Bombs: Feminism in the Francophonie - Explores the trajectory of women's movements in various countries of the Francophonie.

Once you've completed the workshop, make sure you test out your new skills the following Friday at Parcours de diplomates: une perspective francophone.

Trained in project management, Emilie has a vast range of experience working for gender equality and women's empowerment initiatives in Canada, Jordan, Mongolia and Bolivia. She has led gender awareness projects and workshops, drafted gender strategies for programs targeting women's employment in Asia and the Middle East, and documented the views of hundreds of women and men in interviews and focus groups so that their realities may shape the backbone of ensuing gender strategies in their region.
