2019 National Multicultural Festival

Each February, over three days under the glorious Canberra summer sunshine, something very special unfolds in the heart of Civic, Australia’s premier celebration of cultural and linguistic diversity — the National Multicultural Festival. More than 200,000 people flock to the heart of the capital to enjoy and participate in the annual event.

The National Multicultural Festival actively involves more than 350 community groups, using scores of different languagesup to 70 diplomatic missions and dozens of national and local businesses through participation and sponsorship.

There’s food from every corner of the world with over 300 stalls. There’s live music and dancing happening on six stages across the Festival footprint and there’s fun for every member of the family.

The Alliance Francaise de Canberra will be there, to make you live a typical French experience ! More info to come.

What does France mean to you ?

To celebrate the multicultural festival and the 30th edition of the
Alliance Française French Film Festival the Embassy of France in Australia
and the Alliance Française in Canberra are pleased to launch an art
competition to win two double passes for the AFFFF in Canberra

To participate send us your best photos or drawings of what France means to you. The Embassy will then select the best entries and general public will also have the opportunity to vote on the 17th of February at the French stall at the multicultural festival.

** You can send your artworks before the 1sf of February via post addressed to the Cultural Department at the Embassy of France 6 Perth Avenue Yarralumla 2600 (preferred) or send a scanned copy to culture.canberra-amba@diplomatie.gouv.fr

The winners will be announced at the end of February so, time to get Creative!
