One of Canberra’s most celebrated actors, Christopher Samuel Carroll, delivers a performance of searing intensity in this solo adaptation of a startlingly modern classic. From the infamous opening line, “Maman died today”, the character of Meursault states his case with unflinching directness, confronting his listeners with a story of alienation, chance and life-shattering choices that takes a scalpel to the hypocrisy of civil society.

Pumkin Fondant squash, Steamed Zucchini and Braised Pumpkin seeds with crème fraîche sauce. 


Young learners Christmas Show

Join us at Alliance Française for a special christmas show!
Watch our young students, sing, dance and perform !
As tradition, Santa Claus will be there, with a present for each child! Let your child’s teacher know whether you are coming to make sure Santa packs a present!

Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions all children below 12 are welcome but we are limited to 64 adults in the great hall so make sure you RSVP!

Synopsis:

Georges and Anne are in their eighties. They are cultivated, retired music teachers. Their daughter, who is also a musician, lives abroad with her family. One day, Anne has a stroke, and the couple’s bond of love is severely tested. Online cooking workshop: Le poulet basquaise

Come and join us for a new cooking workshop focusing on le poulet basquaise.

This local recipe became a French national dish and has now gained international fame. Born in the Basque Country, this traditional dish is relatively easy to prepare and brings many flavors, mainly thanks to its sauce, the Basque sauce.
