School Visits & Workshops at The Alliance Française

At Alliance Française de Canberra, your students can take their learning of French
beyond the classroom, and enjoy the opportunity to meet and interact with French native
speakers! We welcome school groups to visit for an hour up to a full day, depending on
your choice of workshops. Alternatively, our teachers can also come to your school.

We offer a broad range of workshops and endeavour to support you in meeting the
learning objectives of the Australian curriculum for French.
You will find in red in the table below the references to the curriculum when applicable.

  • Through language games, students will first practise forming basic open questions (name, age, nationality...) in the "tu" and "vous" persons, as well as revise the key verbs ETRE, AVOIR and S'APPELER, and finally brush up on their knowledge of numbers. They will then create their own questionnaire re-using all of the above grammar points, and interact with native staff members of Alliance Française to fill it out.
