Come and join us for a new cooking workshop focusing on le poulet basquaise.

This local recipe became a French national dish and has now gained international fame. Born in the Basque Country, this traditional dish is relatively easy to prepare and brings many flavors, mainly thanks to its sauce, the Basque sauce.

    Alliance Française is back in person!

    We are delighted to be able to welcome you back to face-to-face learning from Monday 22 November!

    When you arrive at our building, could we please ask you to:

    • Check in using the QR code near the entrance
    • Use the sanitiser provided at the entry and in each classroom


    Masks are not required although you are welcome to wear one if you wish.
    Our bar will be open and we will be taking croissant orders during evening classes as usual.
    Private lesson students may now also recommence their classes in person if desired. Please let us know 48 hours before your lesson if you would like your lesson to take place at our building.

    Thank you for your support of the Alliance during the period we were required to take learning online.

      The ACT has entered a lockdown as a result of COVID-19 cases being identified in the community. The lockdown will remain in place until 5.00pm Friday 17th of September. We are now more available to help you join your online class!       Beau Joli 2021 est arrivé!

      Beau Joli Premier Crew is a light, enjoyable "Vin de Primeur" made at Rosnay, Canowindra, New South Wales, Australia, from their own organically grown Shiraz, Mourvedre, Grenache and Carignan vines.

      The fruit was hand picked by members of the Alliance Française de Canberra and fermented on site using traditional French "Maceration Carbonique" to make a wine with brilliant ruby colour, a fruity nose with a lively palate, tangy and low tannin with zero additives or sulfites added.
