La Fête de la Musique (Music Day) is back this year, on Saturday 22 June at the Alliance Française de Canberra!

This traditional music party happens every year in France to celebrate the beginning of summer and sunny days to come. Artists and musicians come together, bars open up, street concerts are set up and the whole city celebrates music!

We wanted to bring this tradition to Canberra once again with a special line-up of artists will play live music from 5pm to 9pm a variety of jazz pop, French tunes... enough to get you dancing all evening!

FOOD AND DRINKS*
Our partner, Savoir French, will be present with a selection of delicious French dishes.
The AF bar will also be open and will offer wine and hot cider for the occasion.

A regular performer at our events (French Market, Opening Night of the French Film Festival...), DJ DeDe Da Cruz is back at the Alliance Française!

DJing for Dede Da Cruz is a 'right of passage' - a chance for him to take audiences on a myriad of Transatlantic Journey's with Afro Latin sounds, music, dance, history and culture.

Donna Hewitt and John Montgomery are a popular Sydney based duo who play an eclectic range of pop and rock classics for all occasions.

From relaxing easy listening to joint jumping dance classics, Donna and John tailor their repertoire to suite the occasion.

We are a band made up of 3 generations of musicians, of 3 different nationalities, from 3 different musical backgrounds, creating our own unique sound on guitar, bass, and drums.

Marion, Atticus and Ethan grew up with French and Australian cultures through their families, schools, and scouts.

They play covers of Indi and pop songs in French and English.
