It's winter in Canberra, and at the Alliance Française we're offering to warm you up with two typical French winter activities: eating tartiflette, and watching a classic French comedy, La Vie Est un Long Fleuve Tranquille

La Vie est un Long Fleuve Tranquille is a 1988 film by Étienne Chatiliez, about two families: one part of the bourgeoisie, the other modest and living off government funds. They should never have met... but one child from each family had been swapped at birth. This is a well-known film in France, denouncing class differences with typically French sarcasm, packed with cult lines! Laughter guaranteed!
